Melbourne City Opera - Luisa Miller

Luisa Miller, performed in September 2009 at BMW Edge, Federation Square, showed once again the wisdom of the Company's efforts to bring to Melbourne less well known or less performed works. This opera by Verdi had not been performed in Melbourne previously.

In a review in the Melbourne Herald-Sun, critic Sybil Nolan said "Bravo, Melbourne City Opera for bringing this wonderful opera by Verdi to the Melbourne stage. Luisa Miller is one of the best of Verdi’s earlier works, musically and dramatically, and one of the most overlooked of his entire output. "
